12 hour-lasting Photomarathon Sponsored by Panasonic Germany

  • fotomarathon
"Photomarathon" has taken place in over 30 cities in the world, mostly in Europe. More than 150 professional/amateur photographers took part in this contest on September 15th in Hamburg. Panasonic Germany sponsored the event and will provide LUMIX G5 to the winner.

The rule was easy. Photographers ran around the city for 12 hours to take photos based on themes given every 4 hours, such as "Urban Life" or " After Work." This contest challenged them with their physical and mental strength, photo techniques and uniqueness, and imaginations. A street photographer Siegfried Hansen and a local magazine photo journalist Michael Zapf both will select an winning photo and will announce it either on October 25th or 26th. Also, over 4,000 event photos will be exhibited for public viewing.

First Sustainability Report Issued by Panasonic India

  • zeer_goed_award
"Panasonic India released its first sustainability report in India. It shows company's sustainability related initiatives, performance, and priorities for 2011 -12, and highlights awards and recognitions that we have received. The structure of the report is based on the Government of India's National Voluntary Guidelines on Social, Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Business, issued in July 2011. This guideline says businesses need to be responsible towards society, so that their every action leads to sustainable growth and economic development. This message matches with the founder Konosuke Matsushita's business philosophy and our company's core management principles.
