Panasonic VIERA TX-P50VT5 Received "Prestigious European Plasma TV of the Year 2012-2013"
Our VIERA TX-P50VT5 received European Plasma TV of the year 2012 -2013 from EISA, European Imaging Sound Association. EISA is a multimedia association and tests consumer electronic products. EISA recognized VIERA's deep black level due to a filter blocking the entry of external light, natural color production, and Full HD 3D performance, and stylish design. Also, new features: built-in Wi-Fi which allows accessing a web browser and social network services and apps via VIERA Connect and an advanced calibration mode also caught jury's attention.
EISA's award is prestigious consumer recommendation which products can receive. Our Blu-ray player DMP-BDT500 and LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. lens also won awards. The award ceremony was held on August 31st at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Berlin.

From Germany
Free Distribution of "Eco Learning" Materials to German Kids
Panasonic Germany, with non-profit organization FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education), created eco-themed learning materials " Eco Learning" and distributes them to children in downloadable form for free of charge. From climate change to waste reduction, they learn the ways to protect environment with a lot of illustrations. Since this project started in 2010, Approximately 40,000 German and Austria elementary school children have already learned what it means to be ecological.
There also is "Eco Diary Contest" and children write picture diaries based on what they've learned. They can participate in the contest with a classroom group. The winner will receive our gift certificate worth 1,500 Euros and the right to compete in the European contest. The deadline for the contest application is in the spring 2013.

PanaHome Taiwan Held Japanese Event
PanaHome Taiwan held a house reforming event from August 9th to 12th. It invited a popular Japanese architect, Nakanishi Hirotsugu, and he gave a seminar. Japan's famous house-reforming TV show is also aired in Taiwan and very popular. Nakanishi sometimes makes appearance in the show as a house reformer so PanaHome assigned him. Also, he gave eight parties individual consultations. The event offered reform packages and only five parties which made a contract for over NT$ 1.5 million (US$50,000) had a chance to win a trip to either Tokyo or Osaka for exploring architectures in Japan.

Sheila O'Neil Chosen for CRN Magazine's "Power 100 Woman of the Channel"
Sheila O'Neil, vice president of channel sales and who's been working in channel for more than 20 years, was selected for a 2012 "Power 100" Woman of the Channel by CRN magazine. This was given to female executives based on their accomplishments and their dedication to the IT Channel.
CRN magazine, the leading channel publication providing news and analysis for technology integrators, recognized O'Neil's achievement which was to lead the integration of Panasonic's four divisions into one integrated channel program in 2010. The remaining business and professional categories were integrated in this year to create a new B2B solutions, which helps channel partners. She said she would manage relationship with key distribution partner as her new role, but remain working closely with her colleague Bill Brennann, who's listed in a "CRN's 2010 List of 100 People You Don't Know, But Should", to help our partners grow their business.

MasterChef Series 2 Winner Talks about Panasonic's Inverter Microwave
Adam Liaw, the winner of a hit TV show "MasterChef Series 2" which won the award for Most Popular Reality Program, tells how excellent our inverter microwave is in commercial films on our website. Additionally, a purchaser of our selected inverter microwave can claim a bonus copy of Adam's cookbook "Two Asian Kitchens" which is filled with Asian food recipes, made based on his childhood memories in Malaysia and working / living experiences in different countries including the most recent 7 year stint in Tokyo, Japan. To claim the book, the purchase of our selected microwave needs to be made by the end of August and all claims for the book must be received by September 14th.
