Manufacturing Line for Refrigerator (in Preparation)

In line with the objective of minimizing the impact to the environment in the production process, all the rainwater is collected on the roof of the factory and stored in an underground system. There, the water is treated with chlorine to remove microorganisms, and then directed for use in toilets and taps gardening.

Recycling of discarded materials in the production process, such as scraps of steel and plastic, and damaged parts, reaches almost 100%. Waste plastics are crushed within the plant and reused as raw materials in new products.

Thanks to the advanced technology used in the manufacturing process, the plant in Extrema has one of the lowest levels of CO2 emissions of all white goods plants of Panasonic and will be labeled as the first 'eco ideas' factory in Brazil. These initiatives and technologies go together to make the products that consumers have come to consider environmentally friendly.

Maintaining the biodiversity surrounding the factory is also a concern of Panasonic; the company is planting trees in the region in a spring located near the plant. Eco Learning will also be developed in the region, especially with children demonstrating Panasonic's commitment to the new generation.
